About me:
I am a 33 year old wife and mother. I have been putting my guys first the last couple of years, but now I am ready to do something for me. My son is 14 months old and is getting to that point where he wants to run and where I have to be able to keep up with him.
That is one of my goals-that I be able to keep up with him and not be out of breath after 5 minutes. I want him to be able to see me as "fun mom" and not "broken down mom". My husband and I are not really outside people and our son somehow is. So, I want to be able to go outside and play with him, too, and not just have him stuck inside with us all the time watching TV or playing video games.
I also want to be an example to both my guys. My husband is obese now as well and I want to show him that it can be done. I'm afraid that if we don't take this weight off now, the path we're on is going to lead to diabetes, heart attacks and God only knows what else. I'm hoping that once I've lost a bit of weight, I'll be able to get him going on it as well.
As for my son, I want to be able to give him a good relationship with food. I am worried that if he watches the foods that my husband and I eat now, that he will follow our example and his path will be worse than ours is. I want to show him that he can have wonderful good foods often and bad foods only very occasionally. I want him to be healthy and not to have to go through what I did as a child. (Children can be so cruel!!!) I want to show him that healthy living is a wonderful way of life!! |
Who I hope to meet:
I am hoping to meet people who will motivate and support me. I have a lot of weight to lose and I know there will be days that I will want to give up. I am hoping that I will be able to log onto this website and find people who have lost weight and who will be willing to give me the encouragement that I need. |
Diet:
My diet will be mainly fish , chicken and turkey , fruits , veggies , and a few good carbs. |
Exercise:
My exercise will consist of mainly cardio with a couple of days of strength training thrown in. |
