About me:
Hi! I'm a 21 year old college student living in Austin, Texas. Hmmm... I don't know what to say, so I'll sort of talk about my reasons for joining:

Up until two years ago, I had been sort of overweight my whole life, but then I started trying to eat a little bit healthier and I was sort of discriminating about what I ate- it wasn't to lose weight, it was just sort of me trying to be a little healthier. Well, I lost 20 pounds!

However, recently I've been starting to get back into my bad habits (the worst is snacking- when I start sometimes I feel like I can't stop!) and eating a whole lot when I have anxiety (I used to smoke, but it's been a year and a half since I quit!)

I've also picked up some new bad habits (I've never been one for sugar until the last year or so, but I now have a crazy sweet tooth- I always want dessert after dinner!)

Anyway, I really want to use buddyslim as a way to think about the ways that I think about and behave around food. I also want to use it as a way to remind myself my goals. So while I would love to lose an additional ten pounds, I really want the change in my eating habits to come down to my health. I really like the way that I feel when I've been eating healthy and working out every now in then- my body just feels much more strong than when I don't get as much physical exercise as I should and I've been eating queso and ice cream for dinner (last night!) A lot of what this comes down to is I really want to be healthy for the rest of my life- I just need to work on developing those habits so I can have them for a lifetime.
Who I hope to meet:
I guess I hope to meet some people I can really identify with in their working on their sort of food, exercise, and health issues.
Diet:
I think for right now I want to eat less fattening food and more fruits and veggies.
Exercise:
Maybe every other day or every third day go to the gym.
