Female, 30 Years old
Dillon, MT |
| Looking for: |
| Diet, Fitness, Support Buddies |
About me:
I live in a small town in Montana with my husband and five kids. I began gaining weight while I was in college. After I had our twins in 2007 I reached my heaviest of 228 pounds. In January of 2008 I decided to seriously do something about my weight. I joined a community weight loss challenge. In twelve weeks I had lost over 30 pounds and 28 inches. I did the following challenge and in ten weeks lost 18 pounds and nine inches. I weighed 176 at my lowest. I was thrilled when I lost 50 pounds and everyone around seemed to be happy for me, but they were shocked that I wanted to lose more weight. My goal was to fit into a size 10. At that point I was fitting into a size 14, down from a size 20 in January. Everyone around me, except my husband, was adamant that I didn't need to lose any more weight and that a size 10 would be too skinny on me. This coming mainly from people who were a size 10 or smaller. It made me completely question my goals and made me wonder if I was getting a distorted picture of myself. I completely went off my diet and gave up. Since then I have gained back about 15 pounds. I think I have my mind back in the right spot and I no longer have any doubts about how I perceive myself and what I want. I know my body best. The next community weight loss challenge starts 01/22/09 and I'm ready to reach my goal. |
Who I hope to meet:
I want to meet others who have tried and failed to meet their goals. I want to meet other mothers who find it hard to balance work, their husband and children plus find time for themselves. I'm looking for support and people who are not afraid to tell me the truth. |
Diet:
Completely cut out pop , eat more fruits and vegetables and lean meats |
Exercise:
45-60 minutes of work out videos daily - including weight training
25 minute walk three/week |

Let's keep in touch on the Shred? Maybe compare notes in a week or so? I am going to do it twice a day for a few days while my foot is getting back to normal, since it's easy on the footwork. I am thinking I should be at level 2 in a week or so, because of the way it goes for me right now. Yeah, the abs section is not up to par on that one, but to be honest since the good old Abs of Steel I haven't came accross a good abs workout. I am actually thinking about adding a weight to it to even it out a bit. |
