About me:
I've been a big guy most of my life and so far it's been easy to ignore. You see, I'm pretty healthy, I'm active, I have a broad social circle, I don't have a hard time meeting attractive members of the opposite sex, I don't need the seatbelt extender on the airplane, nobody points and laughs at me. I'm the type of guy people look at and say, "Oh, I bet you played football in high school." I'm fortunate to have broad shoulders so I can carry some extra weight well. So I've never really had that overwhelming social pressure to lose weight. However, recently, I've put on a few more pounds and now I'm really feeling it. I'm not as quick as I want to be. I get tired more easily. I'm turning down opportunities I used to accept because I feel awkward or clumsy at them. So, I decided it would be a fun challenge to see if I could lose the weight. I thought it might help to have some input from others in a similar circumstance and that's why I'm here.
Who I hope to meet:
I'd like to meet anyone who's interested in a mutually supportive relationship. People I can check in with every couple of days so we can look out for each other. People with different perspectives. People from all over the country or from the NY area. People who can be determined and serious about losing weight without being somber about it.
Diet:
I'm not limiting type of food just trying to use some common sense.
Exercise:
I ran the opposite direction from a treadmill yesterday. Does that count as exercise?

Andy, thank you for the RIP Booty blog.  It makes me realize that I sometimes lose focus on what's important.  You made some great points that I will take to heart and of course Rod made some great point too.  Yes, being healthy is my goal and I will TRY TRY TO save the rest of the bootay!
