About me:
My motivation in the past to lose weight was to prove to the ex-husband of 10 years that he made a mistake by cheating on me. This time I'm doing it for my health and for my own peace of mind.
At my heaviest I was 220 lbs. I remember walking to a plus size store and after picking up a 3XL, thought to myself, hmmmmm, they make small 3XL. Then came the company X-mas party. They took pictures and of course I looked like a hippo. With a marriage in trouble and on the verge of seeing a Psychiatrist, I decided to take control of my life.
I started off walking 5 minutes a day and I did a "home" version of Atkins. Within 8 months I dropped to 180 lbs. I finally ventured into a gym. There I found turbokickboxing, yoga, weight, etc. you name it I loved it. I got to my lowest weight of 150 lbs and a size 5/ 7. Maybe I loved it too much because I tore my groin muscle in yoga in January of 07. From there everything went downhill. It took about 9 months for it to heal completely.
In between those months I gained my weight back and got up to 180. I met my boyfriend and he fell in love with every single one of those lbs. After establishing that relationship and building a solid foundation with much support, I regain self confidence and love. But I was still unhappy with how I looked.
I joined BS in December 07 but gave a half-hearted effort at losing weight. Then something clicked in my head in April 08. I fell in love with working out again. Now I'm on the right course to living a healthier life, feeling and looking sexy for my honey and living life to the fullest.

Everything in moderation. Always eat breakfast , snack , lunch , snack , dinner and a last meal by 9pm |

Yoga 3 -4x a wk , power sculpt , Camp24 , Lift , Set TurboKickBoxing 3 - 4x a wk , Spin , Running 2-3 a wk |

I have two girls, Julianni is six and Yasmine (Mimi) is four. You aren't too old, just don't wait until you're 40! I don't have the urge for anymore kids, I really want to focus on getting back in shape. I have supportive people around me so it makes the first steps easier. Even my girls know that we can't make the frequent trips to McDonald's anymore..they are taking it like champs! |

Thank you so much...I love my name as well although most people pronounce it wrong at first :-)! I am planning to take my daughter's bowling tomorrow for a playdate but that's about it. I'm going to attempt to work on a dinner menu for next week...wish me luck! |
