Female, 24 Years old
Dania, FL
Looking for:
Diet, Fitness, Activity, Support Buddies
About me:
I'm a 24 year old Mommy who gained 50lbs during the pregnancy and can't seem to stop eating junk food. I tend to say (and mean) I'm gonna do something, get all ready and then give up. I need to stay on track.
I love my baby boy and I want to have energy for him. My hubby loves to eat lots of fatty stuff and refuses to diet so I get to watch him eat which makes it really hard for me to stop. I'm also not very healthy in the I am in the middle of some testing to find out about an undiagnosed auto-immune disease I have (some people just have a positive test result but aren't sick however I am showing lots of symptoms and my test comes back higher and higher) so I get into working out and get sick for a few days and bam, that's it for me it takes a long time to get back into it even after I'm better.
I used to be thin in middleschool, highschool and some college, and right before my hubby and I got together I started loosing weight and was feeling better about myself. I want so bad to be happy with me, I don't feel like myself anymore.
Who I hope to meet:
anyone who's going through what I am (all my friends are stick figures) and has the same junk food addiction as me so we can talk eachother through it.
Diet:
South Beach Supercharged
Exercise:
walk with baby yoga gym elliptical aerobics

Can't imagine what it is like raising a child and being married at 24 years old! Its really tough when you're in a household and they're not into dieting.

See you have a junk food problem... me too! Have you tried switching to healthier snacks? Buying a stalk of celery a bag of apples, oranges, makes all the difference. Even rice chips or rice cakes is a change from potato chips, cheeze-its or whatever you like.

I dunno about you, but high fiber cereal makes all the difference for my appetite.

Keep going, don't give up!

Hi there, welcome to BuddySlim!!

First off, welcome! Feel free to add me as a buddy if you like. :)

Second, you look gorgeous in that picture so I can't imagine what you looked like at 120

Third, I know how you feel about the father hting, although I don't think mine was as bad as yours.. My dad was fat as a kid too and then lost weight and he felt guilty for me being fat so he was always telling me I was fat and ugly and once told me that "If you don't lose weight Josh (my hubby now) will leave you for someone prettier" Nice eh?

You can add me as a buddy if you want! I'll admit I'm a bit of an absent minded buddy-- sometimes I'm here sometimes I'm not.  I am a rollercoaster ride with this all. I lost 30 lbs last year then with my wedding, starting school (and being poor), and my brother passing away I've gained it all back almost.

I run two groups in the forums-- the quest for onederland (Although I don't think you'd fit in as much there since you're already in onederland ) and The Heartbreakin' Rockstars.  Commit to get fit is also a wonderful group to join.. I'd recommend looking into all the groups and seeing if you like any.. Moms United might be another good one! They're the best way to meet people.  Again, welcome!!
