Thanks for the great snack tips blaithin, I really like the alpen bars so will be good to eat the light versions guilt-free as they must have a low weight watchers points value with being so low in calories and fat . Have had the cookies myself, they are yummy aren't they?! Will have to give those tesco bars a try too. Keep these fabby tips coming lol x |

Again Linda your message stayed on my heart and I shared it with my hubby. Both my girls are 'big' girls. Not obese but certainly could lose a few pounds. Your story has caused me pause to consider how I will address this from now on. I am a very strong woman but my overbearing tendency does not have a place in my relationship with my children. Linda, seriously you provided cognitive therapy that I will always consider priceless. I'm happy for you and your mom. A renewed friendship is a good relationship between mother and daughter. |

From my heart, thank you for the story and feelings about your mom and her reaction to weight. I have two beautiful little Diva's and I want their self-image to be positive, you know? I want them to blossom and truly love their inner and outer beauty. I want them to be confident and embrace every aspect of being the ultimate woman. Your story hit me in my heart and gave me cause to think. I shall most definitely keep your story in my spirit and be conscious of the way I speak to my daughters about their weight. Baby thank you so much for this healtfelt alert. It's a major wake up for me as a mother. |

The Dilemma
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out for another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk rejection. To place your dreams before the crowd is to risk ridicule. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave.
He has forfeited his freedom.
Only a person who takes risks is free.
