About me:
I am a married, mother of 2. I am 43 years young. I love life but I realize I have not been been living it the way I want because of my weight. I have struggled with my weight all of my life. I have a history of substance abuse in my family. After a lot of research and through some divine intervention I believe that my addiction to sugar and carbs is a real addiction. I came across a book that has totally clarified a lot of things for me in regards to food. The book is called The Sugar Addicts Total Recovery Program. Author is Kathleen DesMaisons ( don't know if that is spelled right) Anyway, I want to change my lifestyle and get healthy and fit. There are so many things I want to try and experience. I have let my weight hold me back for to long. I want to try white water rafting, cross country skiing, take the donkey trip to the bottom of the grand canyon, hot air ballooning, ride a segway ( those 2 wheeled cart things) dance with wild abandon in a club in Vegas and not be embarrassed, give karaoke a try, rock climbing, shopping in cool and fancy stores ( I love Dillards) I don't think I can be a trophy wife, but I would like to shoot for blue ribbon wife. I have isolated myself because of my weight. Because of the isolation, I don't have any close friends. I know it would be a great help to my success if I had some support from others and in turn I will support you and others as well.
My kids are 20 and 14. My husband and I have been married almost 21 years. He is my best friend and I love him dearly, but I think I need more in term of an outlet and support. So good luck to everyone, hope to talk with you soon
Who I hope to meet:
People who are interested in getting fit, healthy and who want to experience life. Anyone who wants and needs support in this area of life. People with any hints, thoughts or advice on getting off and managing a lifestyle low in sugar. Recipes, suggestions, anything. I know my secrets in this area has kept me where I am at.
That has to change. Lets help each other
Diet:
I am following the sugar addicts total recovery program/your last diet.
Exercise:
Swimming elliptical walking lots of different things so I don't get bored. Crosstraining
