About me:
I am a Kansas State University student and I work for the Feedlot here at KSU as well. I am 22 years old and should be graduating in about 2 years (I'm going for the 6th year senior plan). I am dating a wonderful guy and we have moved in together with some friends of mine and the problem is we eat like college kids. I am working on just getting back into shape. Back in HS and my first year of college I was about 123-125 lbs due to dancing all the time and eating right. Now I'm 154 lbs and I'm really wanting to get back into shape and even though I just want to get in to shape and be healthy...I'd like to see me back around 130 again.
Who I hope to meet:
Just some people on here to be able to support and have support me and also people who will be able to give me advise and I can help them out when they need to. So SUPPORT. LOL.
Diet:
Just watching my portions and eating healthy. Especially sodium intake!
Exercise:
Right not that consists of working at the feedlot but I'm hoping soon walking with my boyfriend.

Hi Deanna!

Sorry I haven't been on that much lately as my son was sick all last week and I had jury duty.  Thank you for your comments!  I did do the lemonade diet but only for about 1 day if even... I did lose 4 pounds and it is funny I had lost alot of water weight prior to that so...Hmmm.. Not sure how I lost that much in one day, but it is hard to just drink.. I can do it but I am truly afraid of slowing my metabolism down that I worked so hard over the past 1/2 year to speed up and it is finally there again.  So I guess I am back to doing it the old fashioned way... battling the cravings and trying to exercise when I can.  Eating sensibly.  I wish you all the luck.  I am here if you want to talk and support and should be on regularly.  Take care, Michelle

Hi Deanna!

How are you doing today?  Feeling better?  Just wanted to come by and see how you're doing today. 

I don't own a scale so I couldn't give a sound opinion on your scale blog.  The one I use is the warehouse industrial size that we have at work.  It's digital so I always 0 it out then get on.

Good morning Deanna!

Hey girl, how are you today?  Hehehe, thanks for the the blog comment.  I try not to be too hard on myself when it comes to food, but like you and so many here, we are complete food addicts.  I think eating the burger was almost better then sex.

Thank you for the advice on organic food.  My boss is a a very green person and he just goes on and on about organic food, especially with fruits such as strawberries - so I try to buy it when I can.  You are right though, as long as I wash it really good, I should be fine - that is when I buy non-organic food. 

Hmmm advice on exercise - I agree with the doc, just start with walking.  I did that when I first started losing weight.  I started out with 5 minutes.  Then continue to add on from there.  Before you know it I joined a gym and loved it.  You're doing great with the strength part because it's a part of your job; so it's all about getting some cardio in for the day.  What about walking and utilizing stairs?  What I do on non-gym days I'd go for a walk over the freeway overpass a few times, then come back to my complex and use the stairs.  I use the stairs and in between do so jumpjacks - after about 25 to 30 minuts I get a great sweat.
